Preventing Crime in your Community

A wide range of strategies are used to reduce criminal activity. These include educational programs, crime reporting programs, community development programs (which address socio-economic factors or other risk factors related to criminal behaviour or neighbourhood safety), programs that protect against victimization (e.g. Block Parents), and activities designed to reduce criminal re-occurrence.
